Personal Space became a 501(c)3 nonprofit in 2024. Since the beginning, our programs have been covered by a combination of volunteer labor, grant money, and - when necessary - our directorโs teaching salary. As national arts funding becomes less and less reliable, your support really makes a difference.
A tax-deductible donation directly supports our programming:
Commissioning new artworks
Collaborating with guest curators
Organizing free public programs (readings, music, performance, film)
Covering shipping and framing costs for artists
Allowing artists to keep 70% of all sales from the gallery and shop
Collaborating with the Bay Areaโs most inspiring organizations including NIAD Art Center, The Arc-Solano, the Solano AIDS Coalition, and the Napa State Hospital art program
Providing complimentary snacks, beverages, and live performance during receptions
Supporting our small but exceptional team of local artists, writers, musicians, and student interns
And of course, helping us to pay the rent and keep the lights on
